Norfolk Wedding Photographer Faye Amare - The Best of 2017

Reviewing my best wedding photography moments of 2017, by Norfolk Photographer Faye Amare.

One thing is for sure, it has been a hell of a year to remember! with weddings all over the UK I have covered a crazy 11000 miles! capturing 26 magical weddings, oodles of pre-wedding shoots, 24 family shoots and even 5 proposals! All of which have said YES! Most of my time has been spent tending to my own clients, with the odd second shooting opportunity with other UK wedding photographers. So, in tribute of such a successful year I have chosen my top 50 photos (in no particular order) to round up this year’s wonderful weddings.

The year kicked off with a wedding at the incredible Eden Project, quite possibly my favourite venue EVER! The most attentive staff and the venue itself is breathtaking beyond belief. My year ended at a beautiful Suffolk Barn, where C+M got married in a wildflower meadow with their alpacas for ring bearers. I have visited a vast array of venues this year; all unique in their own way and from every corner of the UK. I have worked alongside some of the UK’s best wedding suppliers and seen some of the most beautiful DIY wedding décor I am ever likely to see, big shout out to Jessica Stone who made HUNDREDS of meters of bunting for their big day! The cutest moment for me was on Simon and Lisa’s big day, their paige boy and flower girl stole the show as they greeted the bride and proceeded to the top of the aisle for a cheeky kiss, my heart completely melted! The most hilarious moments have to go to Richard and Emma for their bull riding shenanigans; quite possibly the most fun I have ever had on a wedding day, you had me in stitches editing your photos. And big kudos to my Nikon D500 for having so many shots per second as them precious moments would have definitely been missed otherwise.

A few of this year’s wedding venues:

The Eden Project, HMS Belfast, Elms Barn, Chaucer Barn, Hever Castle, The keeper and the Dell, Lenwade House, The Boathouse, Norwich Castle, Wood Farm Barn, Pentney Abbey, Glebe Farm Barn, Voewood and De Vere Horwood. I have also seen a rise in the trend of having home weddings

I am so thankful for having such awesome clients, who have been incredible all the way through. It truly has been an honour to capture the start of each and every life journey, and to see my couples grow into families has been a blessing. The support they have all shown me and my business has been immense and I cannot thank them enough, it means the world to me that my clients trust me to not only attend their wedding day and capture every precious moment but deliver them.

This year I have seen an astounding amount of love, laughter and a few tearful moments. All of which have been captured with the passion I have for my profession as a photographer. I have met a real mixture of people from all walks of life, some of which I am lucky enough to call friends. I have had the pleasure of eating some of the tastiest food I have ever eaten, captured some truly hilarious moments and seen some of the funkiest drunken dance moves I think I will ever see! Some were legendary, whilst some were pretty questionable to say the least!

I have learnt a lot this year, and feel I have grown immensely as a photographer and business women. I can safely say I am even more in love with the job I do, and I cannot wait to do it all again. I capture love stories, and delivering my client’s priceless memories is best feeling ever!

Unfortunately, not all my weddings will make the blog this year as quite a few of my couples have chosen to have a disclosure agreement, which means I cannot share their amazing photos with you all. But I will share below a couple of my favorite moments from a select few big days.

Top highlights I am unable to share.
