Norfolk Wedding Photographer Faye Amare Photographs a Wedding at Southwood Hall.
My first wedding of 2018 was on New Year’s Day! At the stunning Southwood Hall in Norwich, Norfolk. Although overcast and slightly chilly it was a great way to kick off the new year with such an epic event, and it was an absolute pleasure to be Craig and Louise’s wedding photographer and capture so many beautiful memories for them.
On arriving the barn looked incredible with all the Christmas decorations still up it brought a real festive vibe to the occasion. After photographing the venue, I met the boys outside looking extremely dapper in their navy and grey suits. Soon their guests arrived and filled the barn with laughter and eager excitement to see these two tie the knot!
During the ceremony, there were lots of personal touches with their little boy’s “don’t worry ladies I’m still single sign” a beautiful reading by the maid of honour and little Josh presenting his mummy and daddy with their wedding bands, defiantly the cutest moment I captured and the cheeky chap totally stole the show! The ceremony was soon over and the bride and groom were congratulated and greeted with glasses of prosecco at the front of the barn.
While the Southwood Hall Team transformed the barn, the happy couple and their guests joined me for group shots and drinks on the lawn. Afterwards, we nipped away to take some beautiful couple’s photos in the grounds of Southwood hall, with their son making an appearance at the end to give them a much-needed cuddle.
With everyone called to their seats for the wedding breakfast; cooked by the dedicated chefs at Southwood Hall, the bride and groom were then greeted with an uproar of applause from their guests, with a few woops thrown in for good measure! Tummies were swiftly stratified by the delicious meals on offer. With socializing and drinks flowing it was time for the speeches from the Father of Bride, Best Man and the Groom himself. All of which spoke about the amazing day and how stunning Louise looked in her lace gown.
The real party soon ensued with the DJ setting the mood, and children causing mischief running and playing with one another. Evening guests began to arrive and greet the happy couple with more drinks being ordered by all the mood began to become a little bit merry.
But it was New Year’s Day and a very special occasion so who can blame them!
It was time for me to photograph the first dance, with Bill Downs performing Ed Sheeran's No.1 single Perfect the couple took to the dance floor for a gentle sway with their little boy making a quick appearance for a cuddle, guests then took to the floor to dance the night away with the newlyweds.
Finally, the night ended with me capturing some twilight portraits on the lawn. I said my goodbyes and congratulations to the bride and groom and made by way home to back up the images I had taken.
Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs, wishing them both all the best for their future together as a happy family.
