The 2017 Most Curious Wedding Fair, Norwich. photographed by Norfolk Wedding Photographer Faye Amare.

WOW! Where do I start, quite honestly… hands down the best wedding fair I have ever been a part of! With oodles of talented Norfolk wedding suppliers and so much on trend wedding inspo my creative mind was on fire throughout the whole show! TMC team certainly pulled it out the bag again with this year’s theme ‘Pinktopia and Electric Dreams’ delivering another incredible show.

It was awesome to be asked to photograph the big event by Penny, Head of Norwich’s Most Curious Wedding Fair, mumtrepreneur AND founder of The Little Lending Company. (Some real girl power going on right there!) As soon as Penny asked me to photograph the show I knew it was an opportunity not to be missed!

I had briefly attended the 2016 TMCW show to photograph the joint stand of The Little Lending Company and Swaffham Florists and also captured a few for Dust with Cocoa and Wonderful Wonky Weddings. However as I had an engagement shoot that evening I couldn’t hang around for too long, but from what I saw, I was extremely impressed with every supplier pulling out all the stops for last year’s ‘Wood and Bush’  theme the hall looked incredible.

Upon arriving at the hall that morning it was buzzing with energy with suppliers running around getting every detail just right for the soon arriving bride and grooms. Soon the time came to open the doors and excitement and anticipation soon filled the room. There is so much local supplier love at this show, with every supplier handpicked by TMC team. Exhibiting only the best wedding suppliers Norfolk has to offer. This year’s show saw every supplier join forces on the ‘Pinktopia and Electric Dreams’ theme, which certainly created an impact as you entered the hall. I was amazed how creative and elaborate each supplier had dressed their stand, each one interpreting the pink brief in a slightly different and unique way. From tropical vibes to subtle hints of the popular blush tone, no matter where you looked the pretty pink hues electrified The Hall.

The show was even busier than I remember it last year with entire rows filled with intrigued bride and grooms to be. I had so much fun meeting lots of new suppliers, catching up with old friends and also bumping into a couple of my bride and grooms to be, so excited for your big days guys and it’s great to hear how well you wedding planning is going.

Show highlights included Pimp my stand winners Funnells Kitchen, The Catwalk shows, on trend wedding must haves and lots and lots of PINK! The show was an awesome success, Penny’s and the Most Curious teams hard work has certainly paid off! Well done girls, you rock!

And what better time to share this awesome exclusive offer I have. Did you book The Little Lending Company, Swaffham and Fakenham Florist or Dust with Cocoa? Then check out this link as I have a little something just for you! And it may just save you some dollar! ;) 10% in fact!

// Norfolk Engagement session with T + R

18 September 16

Posted at 2:19

What better location for a natural and relaxed engagement session than Thetford Forest. I headed out to High Lodge with T + R, it was a warm overcast day and at times looked like it may just rain, but we risked the weather and went ahead with the shoot.

Although nervous at the start, in their words “we’re a little camera shy” which is very common, many couples feel nervous when they first have their photos taken. But the beauty of how I work is that I try to give the couple as much distance as they need, so that they don’t feel pressured in any way. They soon felt comfortable and were laughing and smiling away and we captured so great shots.

And here are the highlights.

R + G choose to have a romantic and fun golden hour e-session on Great Yarmouth Beach in front of the ferris wheel. And it made for the perfect backdrop for their super sweet shoot.

We were certainly blessed with the most amazing golden hour I have ever seen in Great Yarmouth! Who knew we could make GY look like Miami!!! All we were short of is a few palm trees and the crystal clear waters.

These two were so much fun to photograph and I have to say in my Job I meet lots of couples, but the couple that stands out as deeply and madly in love are defiantly R + G and these shots certainly show just that! Here are my fave 5.

R + T are another of The Norfolk Brides Great Yarmouth Wedding show runner up winners. And WOW I am so glad they won!

These two made it super easy to capture the beautiful moments. With their acting background they defiantly knew how to work with the camera and the shots certainly show just that!

They choose Jesus Green in Cambridge for their engagement session and it was the PERFECT location for their bike riding / floral fun shoot. We had such a great time and they certainly made it very difficult to choose the best shots, as there were so many!

And here are my faves

So R + K are the very lucky and deserving winners of my Norfolk Brides Great Yarmouth Wedding Show competition and I cannot wait for their big day at Lenwade House in 2017.

They decided on Wells next to the Sea as the location for their e-session and although it was a cloudy day, it made for some dramatic stormy skies. Which certainly made the shoot!

Wondering around this beautiful beach we were spoilt for choice, as there are so many areas to explore and discover. And here are the highlights from our day.

C + E's BIG DAY HIGHLIGHTS!

24 July 16

Posted at 1:06

Yesterday’s wedding was certainly a beautiful one, with plenty of unique moments that truly captured the couple’s quirky personalities. C + E celebrated their big day at E’s parents gorgeous Victorian manor house in the depths of the Norfolk countryside. With the sunniest of days and blue skies galore, it’s hard not to describe their day as a perfect one.

C + E planned an outdoor ceremony in the gardens of the manor house, known as the Hornbeam Circle. Where they were to be blessed by a high priestess and joined together through the ritual of hand tying. A memorable part for everyone was as bubbles drifted past them, they proclaimed their vows to one another. Sweetest moment ever!

The celebrations continued onto the lawn with champagne, canapés and great conversation. With some playing garden games and others admiring the hard work that had gone into making the yurt so spectacularly beautiful. Flowers grown from C’s parents own garden embellished the columns and tables. It was easy to see the décor they had chosen was full of sentiment.

The evening continued with a great speech from E’s father, who revealed all about her rebellious side as youngster, which certainly was the caused of the up roar of laughter and applause. Two more speech’s followed from the groom and best man, both of which befitting to the last. An amazing array of vegan treats were on offer, and I must say this was by far one of the best wedding breakfasts I have seen and tasted! A little while after C + E cut the cutest brownie cake I have seen. And as soon as it had been cut, the guests devoured it, with only crumbs left in sight. My evening concluded with couples photos on the meadow of the manor.

From childhood friends to bride and groom, its clear to see these two were meant to be.

Highlights below

Funnells - Did an incredible job catering a vegan friendluy buffet! and it was delicious!

Macarons and More - Made the most delicious brownie cake I have ever!

// C + M's BIG DAY HIGHLIGHTS!

23 June 16

Posted at 5:42

Last weeks wedding was at the Notable Norwich Castle, Built by the Normans over 900 years ago it now hosts the new wedding reception, and I have to say the room is far superior to the old Churchmans House venue.

C + M’s ceremony was full of love, laughs and tears, with the occasional silly face thrown in. They both wrote their own vows, which brought the bride and half the room to tears. A coating of vaseline was required to place M’s ring on her finger causing the bride and guests to break out into a fit of laughter, a truly emotional moment captured.

After the ceremony we headed back to M’s parents barn in Felmingham, a beautiful setting for their wedding reception. It began with drinks on the lawn, with a surprise present for the Groom, a verity of owls captured the hearts and attention of everyone and were soon the talk of the wedding, other than how beautiful the Bride looked in her one of a kind Vintage slip dress of course!

People then quickly scampered into the marque out of the light rain. It quickly dried up and people were soon back outside enjoying the ambiance of live music played by an acoustic band. A magician circulated the crowds, preforming card tricks that stunned all the guests. After the entertainment, guests sat down to drinks and tucked in to a fish starter and buffet main.

The speeches soon proceeded with hilarious effect, which certainly revealed where C + M got her fabulous sense of humor from. A truly vibrant and comical part of the day with talk of Harry Potter references and then MOB, FOB, SOB, BOB, DOB and little COB which were certainly highlights of the speech, and it is very fitting to say you had to be there to truly understand the meaning behind them!

The night ended with the FOB (Father of the Bride) and his BAND! Yes BAND!!!! Performing rock classics like ‘Oh Sweet Child of Mine’ and ‘Your Sex is on Fire’ what an awesome FOB! Great work guys, as you had the entire wedding on their feet dancing along to the beat.

My night ended with a quick twilight couples shoot between the fairylight laced trees and boy did it make for an impressive and super cute shot!

A huge congratulations to C + M, your day was so beautiful and full of laughter. I wish you both all the best for the future.

Here are my highlights from the day

Happisburgh Owls - A surpise gift for the groom. And i have to say I totally fell in love with their RARE dark barn own Dusk, so cute!

Mark Daynes Magician - Doing an awesome job stunning C + M's wedding guests with his magic card tricks!

// Engagement session with R + S

30 March 16

Posted at 6:12

R + S are one of my engagement session winners from the Norfolk Brides Great Yarmouth Town Hall wedding show and I am so glad they were as they are so much fun.

Soon as they found out they won they contacted me will a crazy but pretty cool idea, which is certainly not like anything I have done before on my engagement sessions, but my knowledge of commercial photography really came into play with the super creative couple. They wanted to use their VW beetle is a beat up location with vintage signs and accessories.

We met at the location near Riverside in Norwich and they turned up with a van full of props and chugging along a few minutes later was the beetle and soon I saw, it I knew it was going to make the shoot for this slightly alternative and uber cool couple.

The shoot felt like it when went within a flash! They were so much fun to work with and the shoot regularly broke out into hysterical laughter. So glad I got to photograph R + S and I wish them both well for their wedding.
